We hope you had a spook-tacular Halloween.

Come back in 2016 for more ghoulish ideas and tasty treats to keep big and little terrors entertained. Next year Halloween falls on Monday 31st October.

Halloween goes by several different names. Samhain is actually a Celtic festival that started in Ireland and is supposedly the true inspiration for Halloween. Candles were placed inside turnips, turning them into lanterns, to keep away evil spirits at this time of year. Treats were also placed on the doorstep to appease any roaming ghosties who weren’t put off by the lanterns.

Halloween happens only once a year, but don’t be disheartened. There’s always an excuse to crack open the sweets and share them around or be a little devil and keep them all for yourself! It’s up to you whether you add any magical tricks to the mix.
