<p>Pimm’s was invented by James Pimm - the owner of several oyster bars in London in the early 1840s. Mr Pimm wanted to invent a thirst-quenching drink to aid digestion. He tried many different recipes with different spirits as the base, but the original and best cocktail with Pimm’s No.1 is made with 50ml Pimm’s No. 1, 150ml lemonade, chopped up mint, orange, strawberries and cucumber all served in a highball glass.</p>
<p>But it’s not just drinks that you can make with Pimm’s. Oh no. The flavour-packed spirit can be added to all different kinds of summer food so, next time someone says "It’s Pimm’s o’clock" you can say, "Sure, cupcake or granita?"</p>
