You can now drop off everything from cardboard to clothing to be recycled in-store!

The third week in October marks National Recycle Week, so why not have a good clear-out and dispose of your recyclable goods to Asda.
Did you know that you can now drop off a variety of old items in-store to be recycled? Bring along waste paper, glass, mixed plastics, batteries and old clothes when you come to do your next shop to make sure that they're re-used and recycled responsibly.

<h2>PAPER AND BOTTLES</h2>
Bring along any unwanted glass or paper to your local store to see it recycled into something new! Depending on your local council, you might find that your local bin collection doesn't cover some bits - so this is ideal for clearing out all of the bits and bobs your local council's recycling scheme doesn't cover. Make sure to rinse out and dry any old food packaging and glass before bringing it along. At most of our bottle banks, you'll find that the bins are labelled specifically for clear, green and brown glass - so get sorting!

<h2>CLOTHING</h2>
You can donate your unwanted clothes at your local Asda! So if you've been putting off decluttering your wardrobe, now's the time to do it - and donate to a good cause while you do it. If you've got any men's, women's or children's clothing, underwear, shoes and accessories, make sure they're clean then pop them in a bag and bring them along to your local Asda and see if you can donate them today.

<h2>PLASTIC BAGS</h2>
You can recycle any old plastic bags in-store using the specified bins. That way, you don't have to take them home and fill your cupboards with them! And as well as plastic bags and empty bin liners, you can now recycle certain magazine wraps and food packaging alongside your old plastic bags! Just look out for any icons on the plastic packaging and film that it's recyclable.

<h2>BATTERIES</h2>
Inside some stores, you can also recycle used batteries - so it's worth having a hunt around for the battery bin (hint: it's usually at the checkouts or in the tech section!) and empty out those drawers at home.

Plastic films &amp; bags - Recycle stretch plastic film and carrier bags here. Such as clean bread bags, frozen chip bags and cereal bag liners. You can expect a much broader range of recycling options to help you recycle your waste and create a circular plastic economy! After all, clothing hangers are so last year!

Small plastic toys - Recycle small plastic toys here. These will be donated to the Salvation Army.
Toothpaste tubes &amp; tooth brushes - Recycle your empty toothpaste tubes and plastic toothbrushes here. No electric toothbrushes.
Cardboard - Recycle clean dry cardboard here.
Print cartridges - Recycle your empty print cartridges here. All types accepted.
Small electrical items - Recycle small electrical appliances here. No laptops.
Clear plastic fruit &amp; veg trays - Recycle clean plastic fruit and vegetable trays and punnets here.
Biscuit wrappers - Recycle your empty flexible biscuit packaging here. No cardboard.
Clothing hangers - Recycle your plastic clothes hangers here.
Plastic cosmetic &amp; skin care containers - Recycle your empty plastic cosmetic and skin carecontainers here. No Glass. No aerosols.
Water filters - Recycle your used water filters here. All brands accepted.
Batteries - Recycle your domestic batteries here. All sizes from 1.5V to 9V.
