One dad has created every girl’s DREAM bedroom and you have to see the pictures…

Stop the press. We think we may have just found 2016&rsquo;s dad of the year and it&rsquo;s only January!When this doting dad&rsquo;s daughter asked if he could build her a magical place in her <a href="http://direct.asda.com/george/home-garden/D26,default,sc.html?utm_source=goodliving&utm_medium=website&utm_campaign=Home-ideas-fairytale-bedroom-makeover" target="_blank">bedroom</a> where she could sit and read books, he more than rose to the challenge. <img alt="fairytale-bedroom-completed-project" class="ci-image ci-original" src="https://ui3.assets-asda.com/dm/fairytale-bedroom-completed-project_GL?scl=1">Known online simply as Rob (his Reddit username is Radamshome), the dad shared pictures of his amazing DIY project online, which shows his daughter&rsquo;s bedroom transformed into a fairytale forest, complete with toadstools. <img alt="fairytale-bedroom-makeover-before-photograph" class="ci-image ci-original" src="https://ui3.assets-asda.com/dm/fairytale-bedroom-makeover-before-photograph_GL?scl=1">The incredible project took no less than 18 months - or 350 hours - to build and was inspired by Disney film set designs. ‘Even though it was difficult, I learned a huge amount along the way,&rsquo; says Rob. ‘It turned out pretty well, and she&rsquo;s so happy in her new room!&rsquo; Rob had plenty of experience to draw on as he works in the video games industry as a designer. He began by creating a scale model of the forest and even went so far as to go on private welding courses to make sure the tree skeleton was structurally sound. <img alt="fairytale-bedroom-makeover-metal-tree-structure" class="ci-image ci-original" src="https://ui3.assets-asda.com/dm/fairytale-bedroom-makeover-metal-tree-structure_GL?scl=1">The tree itself was made from a welded metal structure and then covered with a wire mesh before a special cement mixture was used to fill the tree trunk and papier mâché layered on to make the branches.<img alt="fairytale-bedroom-makeover-with-cement" class="ci-image ci-original" src="https://ui3.assets-asda.com/dm/fairytale-bedroom-makeover-with-cement_GL?scl=1">Which begs the question, what happens when his daughter grows into a tricky teenager and demands another bedroom makeover?!Thinking of giving your kids&rsquo; bedrooms a redesign?
