It has 7 nominations at the Golden Globes

<p>Stars Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, along with director Damien Chazelle, may well think they're in La La Land with the way awards season has kicked off. </p><p>The musical, which gives a nod to the golden age of Hollywood, is setting the early pace, having picked up the Best Picture and Best Director gongs at the 22nd Annual Critics' Choice Awards this weekend. </p><p>It also leads the way with seven Golden Globes nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor and Best Actress for Gosling and Stone. </p><p>The film, a full song and dance number, follows the story of a musician and an aspiring actress who meet and fall in love in Los Angeles. It is the third time Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone have starred in a film together and early reviews say the chemistry is definitely still there. </p><p><iframe allowfullscreen frameborder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/DBUXcNTjviI" width="560"></iframe></p><p>La La Land received widespread acclaim following its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival in August this year. </p><p>So, can anyone catch this runaway train? </p><p>Well, possibly. Also receiving an impressive six Golden Globes nominations and hot on their heels is Barry Jenkins&rsquo; Moonlight, a film about a young man dealing with his dysfunctional home life and struggling with his sexuality, as he comes of age in Miami during the "War on Drugs" era.
