<p>Fans were left very emotional this Boxing Day, when the BBC officially bid farewell to <em>The Great British Bake Off </em>with special video message.</p><p>Featuring some of the greatest moments of the show's history (yes, #bingate aka the Baked Alaska incident of 2014 made an appearance), the sweet montage played after the Christmas special and marked the <a href="https://www.asda.com/good-living/article/mel-and-sue-confirm-they-wont-be-following-great-british-bake-off-to-channel-4" target="_blank">final time Bake Off will air on the BBC before its move to Channel 4</a>. </p><p>Set to Dean Martin's 'Memories Are Made Of This,' the video tribute ended with the message 'thank you and goodbye,' before a teary Mary Berry concluded: 'Sheer perfection, and I enjoyed every minute of it!'</p><p>We couldn't have said it better ourselves, Bezza!</p><p>Watch the emotional farewell clip below - tissues at the ready...</p><div style="position: relative; padding-bottom: 56.25%; height: 0px;"><iframe allowfullscreen="true" frameborder="0" src="//player.hearstdigitalstudios.com/58617cd5d5593030a46c9c00?width=100%25&autostart=0&aratio=16:9" style="position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px; width: 100%; height: 100%;"></iframe></div><p><br>The heart-warming video montage of some of the programme's greatest moments and favourite contestants capped off the final night of <em>The Great Christmas Bake Off </em>on BBC One, where Chetna Makan finally took away the top prize.</p><p>But the Christmas special hopefully won't be the last we'll see of baking queen Mary Berry and the dynamic duo Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc. The BBC has confirmed that <a href="https://www.asda.com/good-living/article/Mary-Berry-new-BBC-series" target="_blank">Mary Berry will be starring in a new show</a> that will see her producing her own special recipes while celebrating the heritage and legacy of some of Britain's grandest homes. Fingers crossed that Mel and Sue make an appearance! Meanwhile, Paul Hollywood will still be judging <em>The Great British Bake Off</em> when it moves over to Channel 4.</p><p>After the Christmas special aired, the Bake Off Twitter account posted: 'It's time to raise a glass to the gang of four.
