Ingredients

2 ASDA Extra Special Thick Cut Steaks (320g each)

2 tbsp Cook! By ASDA Nooch Seasoning

1 tbsp Sunflower Oil

1 tbsp Butter

Pinch of Salt

Pinch of Pepper

Method

Remove the steaks from the fridge 30 mins before cooking and allow them to come up to room temperature.

Pat the steaks dry with paper towels.

Season steaks on both sides with Salt, Pepper and the Asda Cook! Nooch Seasoning.

Take a heavy-based frying pan that is large enough to fit both steaks. Add the Sunflower oil and heat over a high flame.

When the oil begins to shimmer, carefully lay the steaks into the pan.

Turn the steaks every 60 seconds to form a brown crust on the outside of the steaks.

Half-way through your cooking time, turn the heat down to medium-high and add the butter. With a tablespoon, pour the melted butter on the top of the steaks.

Cook to your preferred temperature. As a guide it will take about 4-5 mins for rare, 6-7 mins for medium and 8-9 minutes for well done.

Rest in tinfoil for 5 minutes then serve.
