Ingredients

25ml Asda Sloe Gin

75ml Prosecco

50ml Soda Water

Ice cubes

1 wedge of Clementine to garnish

100g Golden Caster Sugar

50g Asda frozen black forest or summer fruits

1 Cinnamon stick (optional)

Method

1
Start by making the berry syrup. Put the sugar, 100ml water and the frozen fruits and cinnamon stick in a saucepan. Heat gently until simmering and the fruit has defrosted and the sugar has dissolved. Leave to cool then strain. Keeps for 2-3 days in the fridge.
2
To make the cocktail pour 25ml sloe gin, 25ml berry syrup, the prosecco and soda water into an ice filled wine glass. Stir briefly to combine then garnish with a wedge of clementine.
3
If the sloe gin you’re using is quite spiced just skip the cinnamon stick. Stud the wedge of clementine with cloves for an extra festive twist.
4
Drizzle a little of the leftover berry syrup over chocolate sponge or cupcakes before icing to keep them moist and add extra fruity flavour or add sparkling water for a soft drink or freshly boiled water for a fruity herb tea alternative.
