Ingredients

4tbsp maple syrup

1tbsp sriracha sauce

2 x 305g packs Asda Southern Fried Chicken Mini Fillets

150g plain flour

½tsp baking powder

2tbsp caster sugar

2 eggs

100ml low-fat natural yogurt

100ml semi-skimmed milk

30g butter, melted

Method

1
Preheat the oven to 220C/200C Fan/Gas 7. Heat a waffle maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
2
Mix together the syrup and sriracha in a small bowl and set aside.
3
Cook the chicken fillets in the oven according to the pack instructions.
4
Meanwhile, mix the flour, baking powder and sugar in a large bowl. Stir the eggs, yogurt, milk and melted butter in a jug. Pour over the flour mixture and mix with a balloon whisk until you have a smooth, thick batter.
5
Pour 1 ladleful of the batter into the waffle maker and cook for 8 mins, or according to the manufacturer’s instructions, until golden and crisp. Repeat with the rest of the batter to make another 3 waffles.
6
Divide the waffles between 4 plates and top with the chicken. To serve, drizzle with the spicy syrup.
