Ingredients

½ watermelon

¼ cantaloupe melon

¼ honeydew melon

½ pineapple

Juice ½ lime

Ice cubes

Juice ½ lemon

8 strawberries

Method

1
Put 8 chunky tumbler glasses in the freezer.
2
Cut a few unpeeled slices from each of the melons and the pineapple. Set aside.
3
Peel the remaining watermelon and cut the flesh into chunks. Blitz in a processor or blender with the lime juice, a few ice cubes and 200ml cold water until smooth. Divide between the 8 glasses then return them to the freezer.
4
Peel the remaining pineapple, and peel and deseed the cantaloupe and honeydew melons. Cut into chunks. Blitz together with the lemon juice, a few ice cubes and 100ml cold water until smooth.
5
Carefully pour the pineapple mixture over the watermelon, tilting the glass so it settles in on top without the two mixing together.
6
Thread the reserved slices of pineapple and melon onto 8 wooden skewers, topping each one with a strawberry. Place the skewers in the glasses and serve the smoothies immediately.
