Ingredients

3 ripe Grower’s Selection Granny Smith Apples

1 ripe banana

30g Grower’s Selection British Unwashed Sliced Curly Kale, washed

2tbsp peanut butter

300ml unsweetened almond milk alternative

Toasted pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds and flaked almonds (or substitute your choice of seed and nut mixture.)

Method

1
Halve the apples and remove the cores. Peel 2½ of them and cut into chunks; leave the remaining ½ apple unpeeled and set aside.
2
Peel the banana and cut into 1cm slices.
3
Put the apple chunks and banana in a blender with kale, peanut butter and almond milk alternative. Whizz together until smoothly combined.
4
Divide the smoothie mixture between 4 bowls, then put in the fridge for 10 mins to chill.
5
Cut the reserved ½ apple into thin slices.
6
To serve, carefully float the apple slices on the surface of the smoothie, then scatter with seeds and nuts of your choice.
