Ingredients

1 pack Asda Ready Rolled Light Puff Pastry

1 tbsp Asda Balsamic Glaze

1 red onion, cut into 8 rings

1 pack Asda Somerset Brie, cut into 16 slices

1 egg, beaten

2–3 sprigs fresh thyme or rosemary, finely chopped

1 tbsp honey

Method

1
Preheat the oven to 220°C/200°C fan/gas 7. Remove the pastry from the fridge and gently unroll. Cut the pastry in half lengthways and each half into equal quarters to make 8 rectangles.
2
Line a baking sheet with baking paper and drizzle a little balsamic glaze just smaller than each piece of pastry in 8 spaces on the tray. Top with a slice of onion followed by 2 pieces of brie. Cover with a piece of pastry and press down the edges with a fork. Brush with the beaten egg and place in the oven for 15 mins until the pastry turns golden.
3
Remove from the oven and allow to cool a little, then using a fish slice gently flip over each tart. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle thyme or rosemary over the top.
