Ingredients

6 unwaxed lemons

1 lime

1 litre Asda London Dry Gin

Few sprigs rosemary

750g caster sugar

Method

1
Pre-heat the oven to 140C/120C Fan/Gas 1. Wash a glass jar or glass bottle in hot, soapy water, then rinse well. Remove any rubber seals, then put in the oven on its side for 30 minutes.
2
Using a vegetable peeler, thinly pare the zest from the fruit. Put in the jar with the gin and sprigs of rosemary. Cover tightly and leave in a dark cupboard for a week, shaking every few days. Discard the rosemary.
3
Put the sugar in a pan with 500ml water and heat gently until the sugar dissolves. Leave to cool for 20 minutes. Add to the gin mixture, cover tightly and shake.
4
Put in the cupboard for 2 weeks, shaking every few days. Strain the liquid through a coffee filter paper into a jug. Pour into sterilised bottles, adding a few strips of the lemon and lime zest to each, then seal.
5
The limon-ginno should keep for 1-2 months.
