Ingredients

600g Maris Piper potatoes (or King Edward potatoes),peeled weight, cut into even-size chunks

1 large leek, trimmed of roots and coarse green leaves

25g Flora Spread

350g green cabbage, finely shredded

75ml semi-skimmed milk

2 x 230g packs Asda Butcher's Selection Gammon Steaks

Method

1
Put the potatoes in a pan, cover with water, then bring to the boil. Cook until tender. Drain and return to the pan.
2
Meanwhile, finely shred the leek. Melt the Flora in another pan, then cook the leeks, covered with a lid, over a low heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3
Add the cabbage and cook uncovered, stirring often, for another 4-5 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
4
When the potatoes are cooked, drained and back in the pan, add the milk and gently heat through. Mash the potatoes, then stir in the cabbage and leeks. Season.
5
While the veg is cooking, grill the gammon for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked. Serve with the mash.
