Ingredients

8 Asda Ready to Eat Dried Apricots, chopped

6 Asda Ready to Eat Dried Figs, chopped

25g unsalted pistachio nuts, chopped

3 tbsp Asda Apricot Jam

1 ball stem ginger in syrup, drained and chopped (optional)

4 Bramley cooking apples

15g butter

1 tbsp Asda Clear Honey

150ml apple juice

Method

1
Pre-heat the oven to 180C/160C Fan/Gas 4. Mix the apricots, figs, pistachios, jam and ginger (if using).
2
Wash the apples and remove the cores using an apple corer or sharp knife, then enlarge the holes slightly. Make a cut through the skin around the middle of each apple.
3
Put the apples in an ovenproof dish and fill them with the dried fruit mixture, packing it in firmly. Cover the stuffing on each apple with a small piece of foil.
4
Heat the butter, honey and juice in a small pan until melted, then pour over all the apples. Bake the apples for 35 minutes, basting with the juices every 10 minutes. Remove the foil, baste again and return the apples to the oven for another 10 minutes.
