Ingredients

1 tbsp olive oil

1 medium onion, chopped

500g Asda Lean Steak Mince

2 tbsp flour, plus extra for rolling out

1 beef stock cube

2 tbsp Asda Brown Sauce

2 tbsp Asda Tomato Ketchup

250g ready-made puff pastry

1 medium free-range egg, lightly beaten

Method

1
Heat the oil in a pan. Add the onion and gently cook until soft. Add the mince and cook over a medium heat until browned. Sprinkle in the flour and cook for a further 1 minute.
2
Dissolve the stock cube in 250ml boiling water and add to the pan. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Add more water if the mixture starts to look dry.
3
Pre-heat the oven to 220C/200C Fan/Gas 7.
4
Stir in the brown sauce and ketchup and season. Divide the meat among 4 individual dishes.
5
Lightly sprinkle a clean surface with flour. Roll out the pastry and cut into rounds large enough to cover the tops of the pies. Press down the pastry onto the dishes, brush with egg and bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden.
